FRANKIIE is an independent dream-rock band from Vancouver, BC. They formed in December 2013 for a one-off gig where they had only met a few weeks before. The chemistry between them was undeniable and over the last several years the four members have become amazing friends and adventure seekers, taking their music from Haida Gwaii near Alaska to the southern tip of the Baja in Mexico.
Their debut EP ‘Girl of Infinity’ was self-released in July 2015. It hit #34 on the earshot National College Radio charts, and landed them a gig at the Todos Santos Music Festival organized by Peter Buck of R.E.M. After tours throughout Canada and down the coast of California, FRANKIIE tucked away to finish writing an album.
In 2018, FRANKIIE will be releasing their debut full-length album produced by Jason Corbett of ACTORS and Jacknife Sound.

Ponytails came to fruition in March 2016, spawned from best friends Harvey Merrit (vocals, bass) and Travis Goeres’ (lead guitar) love of pizza and the theme music of Sylvester Stallone movies. Liam Ness (bass, rhythm guitar, vocals) and Graham Serl (drums, vocals) round out the band’s sunburnt surf sound.
Their debut EP was recorded at Little Red Sounds with Felix Fung and completed over the course of just three long days, pushing the whole team to work to their fullest. They released their first single "Pieces" followed by a full release of the EP on November 1st 2016, featuring what Discorder Mag called “Interesting guitar riffs, distant-sounding vocals, and crashing, high energy choruses”.
The anticipation for their EP was heightened by the buzz from their electric live performances and off-stage antics, that garnered attention from local promoters, press, and lead to a last-minute invitation to headline Beatroute's Rifflandia stage at the Copper Owl. Their mixture of fuzzed out dreamscapes and poppy surf rock is reminiscent of indie faves Real Estate or Beach House, with lead singer Harvey’s performances capturing the passion and exuberance of a young Father John Misty. Ponytails have shared the stage with the likes of Widowspeak, Peach Pit, Leisure Club and Dopey's Robe. They’ll be heading back into the studio to record a full-length LP expected for release in 2018.

Palm Haze
Palm Haze is a Canadian based band founded by Anna Wagner and Lucas Inacio in 2015. The idea originally came up when they wrote their first song, on a single afternoon at a beach house in Ilhabela, Brazil.
They blend alternative rock, shoegaze, and trip-hop influences, to create a sound that's both heavy and smooth - think of fuzzed guitars and soothing vocals under a palm tree shadow. As a live act, the band consists of Anna (vocals, bass), Lucas (vocals, guitars), Marianne Catafesta (vocals, synths, bass) and Caio Mendes (drums).
Despite being founded in Ilhabela, the band moved to Vancouver, shortly after, where they are touring after releasing their debut EP Tangy Dream in fall 2017.
