FOX CABARET CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PERFORMERS

• We are committed to fostering a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all performers, guests and staff. We ask that you treat everyone with kindness and politeness on our premises, follow our rules, and listen to staff and management at all times. We reserve the right to deny entry to or to remove anyone who violates our code of conduct. 

• You are on camera inside and outside of the venue (with the exception of the green room and washrooms for your privacy). We monitor the space to keep everyone safe. 

• Keep the back door closed during sound check and performances and try to load out as quickly and quietly as possible. Respect our neighbours and keep your voices down outside of the venue. All guests must enter through the front door, check in at the box office, and be stamped. Box office staff arrive a half hour before doors. Performers who are minors are not allowed without prior written permission.

• All large items must be stowed under the stage (if not on it) or in the green room. Hallways are fire escapes and must remain clear of all equipment and belongings when the venue is open. If permitted to park in the back, do not block doorways or exit pathways.

• Respect our curfews and the guidelines of sound technicians for volume and bass levels. Refrain from stage diving or encouraging guests to. No fire use is permitted during performances, or the use of confetti or other messy substances. Abide by all local laws, including prohibitions against nudity and obscenity.

• Please drink responsibly. There is no alcohol consumption allowed outside of the venue. Anyone who is intoxicated will either not be admitted or will be asked to leave. Products not sold here are restricted to the green room or need to be transferred to tumblers available at the bar.

• Illegal drugs are prohibited, as is smoking or vaping anywhere inside of the venue, including the green room. Stay 6 metres away from any doors while smoking or vaping outside. 

• All violence, threats, non-consensual touching, verbal abuse, theft, or any kind of aggressive behaviour is prohibited. It will result in removal from the venue and, depending on the severity of the behaviour, in reports to local authorities and being barred from future return. 

• Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, religion, or any other protected characteristic will not be tolerated. Alert staff if you witness any unacceptable behaviour. We will do our best to respond with urgency and compassion to any concerns that you may have. 

• Our washrooms are gender inclusive. Please behave considerately while using them, respect the privacy of others, and try to keep them neat for others. We do not allow more than one person inside a stall or single washroom at a time. Ask staff for keys to use the employees only washrooms.
