Step into the cinematic electro-pop universe of Ringdown, the “irresistible” (Feast of Music) duo of Caroline Shaw and Danni Lee Parpan, as they take the stage at FoxCabaret. Their music feels like calling your first love on a rotary telephone or pulling a record from a dusty bin somewhere between Brahms and Brandi Carlile. Rooted in joy and human connection, Ringdown’s sound invites listeners to feel more love and maybe even reach out to a crush.

Music on Main audiences will recognize Caroline Shaw from many unforgettable performances over the years, including Graveyards and Gardens, Music for the Winter Solstice, and more. As Music on Main’s second Composer in Residence (2015–2016), Shaw has been a vital part of our musical community, inspiring listeners with her boundary-pushing creativity and deep emotional resonance.

Now, alongside Danni Lee Parpan, a dynamic vocalist and folk-pop singer-songwriter, she returns in a whole new light. Together as Ringdown, the duo explores a sound world that blends bold pop sensibilities with cinematic depth. Their debut album, Lady on the Bike (Nonesuch Records), radiates with movement, transformation, and thepossibility of love and connection, even in a chaotic world. With unexpected sonic twists and surprise moments around every corner, this performance promises to be an unforgettable ride.
